I’m 顧瓜 (Gu Gua). In 2020 I moved into the mountains, started learning to grow vegetables from an old neighbor, and — slowly — how to get along with the land.

This blog keeps track of three things: how a vegetable patch grows out of nothing, the slow rhythm of mountain life, and the occasional travel note from wandering off.

Writing, to me, is a lot like growing vegetables — it takes waiting, it takes watering, and you can’t rush what isn’t ready. So posts arrive on no particular schedule; mostly on rainy days, after the tea is brewed and the cat has fallen asleep.
